Bendigo Protest - #NoNewCoal Redline Actions
Members of the Greater Bendigo community will be gathering at the entrance to Rosalind Park near the Alexandra Fountain at 11am on Saturday 30th June to draw the line on climate change and call for no new coal. Wear red and help us tell the fossil fuel industry that they cannot cross this line! It’s time to draw a #RedLine on the corruption, lies & destruction of our environment by the coal industry. This June step up the struggle for a safe climate and join people across Australia taking action.Ending coal and carbon emissions is a matter of urgency - we need to end coal within 3-5 years. Meanwhile, fossil fuel corporations continue to spew CO2 into the atmosphere, causing and profiting from the current ‘mass extinction event’. We have crossed a climate tipping point & it will take concerted, non violent civil resistance to tip it back. This end of financial year, let's draw the red line on coal. This action is part of a day of decentralized autonomous actions to boldly stand for #NoNewCoal in Australia. Over 25 actions are already planned.
