Coff's People's Premier of A Mighty Force: #StopAdani film night
Join us for a special screening of #StopAdani: A Mighty Force at Coffs Harbour's Bunker Gallery on 22 February.
This documentary captures the power and passion of people taking extraordinary action to stop Adani from building one of the biggest coal mines in the world, near the Great Barrier Reef.
From remote central Queensland where the mine is proposed to be built, to rallies in metropolitan Melbourne and Sydney, this David and Goliath battle is one of the most determined and focused campaigns in Australia’s recent history.
Juru Traditional Elder Carol Prior says, “Adani is dealing with a mighty force. And the more it grows, the harder we’ll be to beat.”
At this People's Premiere we'll watch the film, and hear the latest updates on the historic campaign to #StopAdani from the frontline blockade to Federal Parliament and here in Coffs.
Entry is by suggested donation of $5 to cover costs, but we will be asking for additional donations towards legal costs for four CCCAG members recently arrested blockading Adani's Abbot Point coal port, as part of the Frontline Action on Coal blockade.
Wine will be available for purchase, with cheese and crackers by donation.
Doors open at 6pm for a 6:30 start - don't be late as our last #StopAdani film night was over-capacity!!!
(Also note that a separate Bellingen screening is happening on 2 March: www.facebook.com/events/160557081332143/)
